Issue Background

Current and former service members are dedicated to protecting our nation and FRA is dedicated to protecting them. The Association works to safeguard their earned benefits and ensure their sacrifices are recognized by a grateful nation. FRA’s ongoing work to maintain and enhance the quality of life for all enlisted personnel and their families includes protecting them from predatory lending practices, providing a seamless transition from military service to the civilian workplace and veterans’ community, and ensuring those who falsely claim military awards endure legal consequences.

Where We Stand
  • Endorse legislation that provides financial protections to military personnel and their loved ones.
  • Back programs and initiatives that train and help separating and retiring service members find employment.
  • Support legislative initiatives that would make it illegal for anyone to benefit from falsely claiming military decorations or medals.
