Health care is the one benefit that affects all segments of FRA’s membership and is consistently ranked as the most valued benefit of military service. As health care costs skyrocket, there is mounting pressure to increase premiums, restrict access and erode the value of this earned benefit for service members, retirees and veterans.
FRA works to ensure all military and veteran beneficiaries have access to quality health care services and advocates adequate funding, streamlined administrative systems, timely and accurate claims processing, and broad pharmaceutical formularies.
Mar 9, 2017 -FRA staff, Bob Washington, recently participated in a meeting with Acting Deputy Director of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) RADM Colin Chinn, who was joined by representatives of three service Surgeons General. Discussions focused on implementation of FY 2017 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) TRICARE changes.
